Esashi Ubagamidaijingu Shrine Togyo Festival (Hokkaido-designated intangible folk cultural heritage)
The Ubagamidaijingu Shrine Togyo Festival, held every year from 9th to 11th August, is one of Hokkaido's most popular festivals with over 370 years of tradition. Thirteen gorgeous Yama (religious palanquins) are paraded in a procession through the town over a period of three days.
