Esashi Town Japanese Heritage Guidance Spot (Esashi Town Kaisyo Kaikan)
Esashi Town Hall "Japanese Heritage Guidance Facility
Esashi Town Hall is one of the Japanese Heritage Guidance Spots that conveys the history and culture of Esashi Town.
Formerly used as the main office building of Esashi Town Hall, this building has inherited the history of the town meeting hall (town office) built at the end of the Edo period (1603-1868) and is a valuable historical building that is unparalleled in Hokkaido.
Currently, panels and showcases introducing “Esashi's Japanese Heritage Story” are installed to display the town's history in an easy-to-understand manner.
This hall, which gives visitors a sense of the long history of Esashi's self-governing administration, is the starting point for a tour of Esashi's culture and Japanese heritage.
Please stop by as a starting point for a stroll through the town streets while experiencing Esashi's history.
